Palau de la Música Catalana and Hospital de Sant Pau, Barcelona, Spain: The Palau de la Música Catalana and Hospital de Sant Pau are masterpieces of the Art Nouveau. The Hospital de Sant Pau was built between 1905 and 1930. The hospital complex consists of almost thirty pavilions built in the Mudéjar style, the Art Nouveau was inspired by the mudejar style. The Hospital de Sant Pau is no longer a medical facility, now it houses an art school. The different pavilions are situated in a park and connected by underground tunnels. Antoni Gaudí died in the Hospital de Sant Pau in 1926. The Palau de la Música Catalana is a concert hall. It was inaugurated in 1908. The Palau de la Música Catalana is richly decorated with glazed tiles, mosaics and stained glass. Overhead the concert hall is an enormous skylight of coloured stained glass. The concert hall and hospital were designed by the Catalan Art Nouveau architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The Palau de la Música Catalana and Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona gained the status as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1997. World Heritage Art: Ceramic Wall Sculpture
